Dairy free cheese sauce

2CupsRolled oats
1/2CupNutritional yeast flakes
1/4CupCorn starch
2tspOnion granules
2tspSea salt
112oz jar Roasted red bell peppers in water
1TbspLemon juice
1/4tspPecan or Apple liquid smoke
4CupsWarm water


  1. Using a blender, blend on high for 5 minutes. Once thickening has begun, stop the blender and transfer to a large pot that holds at least 6 cups.

  2. Cook on low heat for five minutes moving constantly until the sauce thickens.

  3. Allow to cool before serving.
